The Edinburgh Interfaith Association (EIFA) humbly requests your attendance at the Edinburgh Premier of our new film, ‘Changing the Narrative’ at the Edinburgh Sikh Gurdwara on Monday 31 August 2026 from 6-8pm. The film captures the incredible, transformative impact of our school Roadshows. Over 2,850 pupils across 6 local authorities engaged with the Roadshow this past year.

The Religion and Belief Roadshow brings six speakers from different faiths together alongside Police Scotland officers to deliver interactive presentations to primary school children. By showing diverse teams working in harmony, the programme builds community resilience, disrupts negative stereotypes, and counters hateful narratives with messages of respect, understanding, and mutual appreciation.

EIFA were awarded a grant to roll the programme out nationally in March 2026 to serve as a crucial counterweight to rising social tensions, racism, Islamophobia, antisemitism, and anti-immigrant sentiments, which were starkly highlighted during recent protests outside hotels hosting asylum seekers.

This film documents this comprehensive, three-fold educational programme as it took place in Tullibody, Perthshire, Glasgow and Aberdeen, successfully educating pupils, parents, and teachers alike. A short promo of the film is available at the link above.

Following the programme there will be a Q & A input from the Producer/ Director Ray Bird and some of the Roadshow volunteer faith community speakers and Police constables discussing the programmes impact.
